The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bongaigaon branch, organized a Solidarity March in Bongaigaon town this evening to mourn the tragic death of a postgraduate student from R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. The march expressed collective grief and outrage, bringing together various medical and community organizations in support.
Participants included members of the Indian Dental Association, nurses, and paramedics from Lower Assam Hospital, Swagat Hospital, and Arogya Hospital, alongside medical representatives from CRU. Local social organizations like the Sarathi Social Service Group, Rotary Club of Bongaigaon, and Inner Wheel Club of Bongaigaon also lent their support. Additionally, Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Greater Bongaigaon Press, and Rabindra Chetana Mancha took part in the event.
The march symbolized solidarity within the medical and local community, united in their call for justice and reform in the healthcare system.
